Christmas is a Commemoration of Joy and Goodwill to All

Merry Christmas to you, all my parents, children in Christ and friends on the social platforms!
Christmas is a commemoration of Joy and goodwill to All.
Do you remember the Hymn, ‘Joy to the World The Lord has come’? It was written in 1719 by Isaac Watts (1674-1748) but composed by Georg F. Haendel, in 1742.
Here is the first stanza
Joy to the world
The Lord has come
Let earth receive her King
Let every heart prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and nature sing
And heaven and heaven and nature singThis is the essence or the main message of Christmas, a time, usually 25 December, when Christians remember and celebrate the coming in human form as a baby through the blessed Virgin Mary, of the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is one of the main doctrines or teaching of Christianity
, called incarnation. The word’ incarnation’ is of Latin origin in plus carnis, flesh. God, for Jesus is Lord and God the Saviour, out of love came in human form in order to die in our place( called the doctrine of substitutionary death). Read, Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. See the Gospel of John3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Also, read Rom 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
The Wikipedia summarizes the life of the Hymn writer thus, Isaac Watts, 17 July 1674 – 25 November 1748) was an English Christian minister, hymn writer, theologian, and logician. He was a prolific and popular hymn writer and is credited with some 750 hymns. He is recognized as the “Godfather of English Hymnody;” many of his hymns remain in use today and have been translated into numerous languages.
In his hymn above, Joy to the World The Lord has come’, Isaac Watts summarizes the basic logic and reasons for Christmas as follows: It is Joy, excitement to the world, because the Lord, has come.
Why the Joy? A Saviour, a deliverer from satanic fall of Genesis 3;1-7 has come. . A reconciliation between an angry God and victims that human race had become, has finally come.

Because, a Redeemer has come. Because an eternal bridge and hence eternal life has been secured. Because we have become adopted dons and daughters of God.

It is celebration of an unusual change of status. It is a sort of comparative securing a citizenship of the greatest country, not only of the earth but of eternity. Everything now changes for humanity! So Christmas is celebration of Hope for Humanity.

Have you lost hope or you are in despair? Chrust is the doir of hope. In Hebrew called , ‘ Petah Tikva’ Therefore let us celebrate like the two categories of persons of the first Christmas in colonized Israel or Palestine of about 3/4 BC in Bethlehem thus:
The shepherds who heard the angels announcing the first Christmas in the Gospel of Luke 2: 1-18. Baby Jesus was born under Roman imperial oppression and even there was no hotel room for baby Jesus. He was born in a manger, a place where animals eat, a stable. Are you poor or oppressed, a way of salvation or deliverance has come: Jesus Christ.Receive Him.
Angels announce the unusual birth to the lowly but diligent shepherds. Are you diligent? Then expect divine guidance to the

star Jesus. Look intensely, diligently and professionally towards a Him and you will become a star too. What you value, you study, and you will eventually become what occupies your mind.
The wise men of the Gospel of Matthew 2: 1-11.As intellectual keep watching out for the signs of God’s hand in your study. Follow the divine instruction
Bring significant gifts to your King. He is your Prophet and Priest, and king Jesus Christ. Matthew 2:11.
Merry Christmas to you all.
